Is there a Display field type that collects no daa but is designed to show text data entered for that field as a separator or instructions to show information users need to understand to complete the field or fields following?
Another profile extender i use, EasyProfile, has a "display" type field that can display such data where a field would normally show. It's very handy for things that are too verbose or too important to embed in a tooltip. For instance one might decide to add a display field to let users know: "Mouse over the field name to see details about the information required in that field."
Users, especially the less computer literate/savvy ones might never consider such a thing. And yes, we have people like that using our systems!
Currently we have option for tool-tip in each field, which is dislayed when user hover on label.
If it is not enough then there can be 2 possibility
#1 : Either we show the description of field in front-end, which can be 255 char long and can be used for this purpose.
#2 : Or we create a field as you said.
Let me know what is good option for you. We will do that.

I would highly recommend you include a "Display" field that displays across the input column.
Here is an example of how I used it in EasyProfile (Note, in Easy profile I can style the characters with Bold, italics, font size, color, perhaps you can add basic formatting as an option in the future, it makes a big difference for the people filling in their profile:)
NOTE: Your password must be made up of AT LEAST 8 characters. It must meet the following rules:
At least one letter must be a Capital Letter and
At least one letter must be a symbol (%$^&*#@) and
At least one letter must be a number
to be valid.
For example Cx#a233z is valid. N444aaaG is not valid (must contain at least one symbol).
Before changing your password, save any information you have changed first as failing the password validation will reset the data you entered.
Ideally, your password must be a minimum of 8 characters and include upper, lower case letters and a number. For even greater security, use special characters like #,$,&, *.
Thank You for being so responsive!

We will add a new new field for this. But one thing I should make it clear now, as currently we do not have text editor in the fields, so for now you can only enter the text. We need to add editor which could work with Ajax, but it will take time to do so.
Thank you, your customer service and being open to new ideas is outstanding!
I know it'll be much appreciated and used even without an editor. I think we all understand the problems with editors and know that'll take time but it'll be great when you can find and implement a good solution.
